I only caught a portion of Paula White’s appearance the other night on Larry King Live. I found myself yelling at the TV – I just couldn’t stomach watching her dance around Larry’s hard questions. The whole thing is so sad, because I can remember when she still preached Christ. It wasn’t that long ago, either. Back in the spring of 2006, she was a featured speaker at our former church. As I’ve mentioned before, we had a coveted front-row seat for that service, and I was so inspired by her passionate preaching of God’s Word that the next morning, I visited her website and signed up to be one of her prayer partners.
Now I’m wondering how someone could change course so dramatically in just eighteen months.

I came across this web site while trying to look up more info on Paula White’s appearance on Larry King the other night.
I was FLOORED when Larry King asked her POINT BLANK, “What is God to you? Is He a Spirit? Who is He?” And all she could say was, “Yes, Larry, God IS a Spirit, and I don’t profess to know everything about Him,” or something to the extent. She could NOT tell Mr. King that God was in Christ, that to see Christ is to see the Second Person of the Godhead; that Christ came FROM Heaven so that we may know God. She had NO ANSWER for Larry King.
And believe me, from the looks of it…Larry King has been searching,it seems, for a very long time…having one spiritual person on after another, asking them all, “how do you get to heaven? Do you think Jews will go to heaven if they don’t believe in Jesus?” This man is older…has a young wife, and two young children…he doesn’t want to leave this earth….and he’s looking for the fountain of youth…trying, like my former boss….to keep from dying. But…knowing we all die…you can tell that he wants ANSWERS…
Yet he keeps having people on like Paula White, and Joel Olsteen…who WON’T TELL HIM the truth, for fear of the gospel, and that it will shame them in front of the whole world. They won’t tell him that JESUS HIMSELF SAID He was the gate, to enter by the narrow way. Nor did Paula tell him, “Larry…Jesus said you MUST be born again of His Spirit….due to the fall of Adam…that’s why He entered thru the belly of a woman…to bypass the human fallen line.”
Because of what she did…I began to read over her entire web site, and I saw a very familiar thing that I see with many of these seed faith people…they will talk about GOD…and about JESUS…and they will always say, Jesus AND God…but they NEVER say Jesus IS God….ever. I didn’t see her say it once. I see her say, “the Lord,” but never the LORD JESUS….or that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit…(I Corinthians 15:45; John 20:22)….
Anyway…this is what I noticed….I’m relieved to see that I wasn’t the only person who was put off by this woman’s ministry…It just always struck me as a ministry of “self-help,”…trying to make the flesh stronger…when Jesus said that apart from Him we could do nothing…and the flesh availeth nothing. If anything…these people need to help people DIE TO THEMSELVES…SO THAT CHRIST can ALONE reign in their hearts… after all…it’s HIS LIFE…not ours…(Gal. 2:20). What do these people think they’re doing telling DEAD PEOPLE….(who no longer live…but it’s CHRIST WHO LIVES IN THEM)…..to clean up their lives, and become stronger? The original sin is one of PRIDE…and the holy spirit brings us to see our WEAKNESS…not our strength…so that like Paul, we can glory IN OUR WEAKNESS, so that then we will be strong IN THE LORD AND HIS MIGHTY POWER.
These people truly have not grasped the good news that the people they’re trying to reach don’t need “things” or a “good SELF image”…they need LIFE….Jesus’ life….He is the resurrection and THE LIFE.

I just don’t understand why the Body of Christ keeps supporting people like Paula White. As she herself said, she can’t “do what she does” without money. If enough folks stand up and quit sending her their donations, maybe she can be put out of business.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that Paula White has turned away from God, but some of the theology is definitely twisted. I don’t get the impression from reading the transcript that she’s equating her book with the Bible. It seems more like she’s universalizing the “biblical” principles contained within it.
I don’t understand why the richness of Christian Theology and orthodoxy is being reduced to hackneyed cliches and positive psychology. It’s hard to find anything that was written recently (in the last 20 years or so) that displays any great depth of the knowledge of God.
I used to have a great deal of respect for Paula White, but now it seems she’s fallen victim to the charismatic body of “teachings”.
This is just pathetic that she didn’t mention JESUS is the only way….I find the whole Paula and Randy White divorce issue terrible in the fact that I heard Randy White say on a television interview that their daughter had cancer…..that’s fine if they wanted a divorce (although I don’t agree with it), but why couldn’t they have at least waited until she got better before announcing it…..doesn’t that just put added stress on their child…..I think their divorce was just plain selfishness…..one of them messed up and then the other wasn’t willing to forgive…..I know we should not judge….but should we not hold them to higher standards…..
I think some of the preachers should not label themselves as preachers but as motivational speakers….such as Joel Osteen….I loved hearing him when he first came out…but now I have backed away because in all honesty I have never heard him once preach on sin or hell…..just how you can better yourself…..
beleive me I am all for the prosperity gospel to an extent….in fact I still listen to Kenneth Copeland….because he covers all the bases….not only does he preach blessing but sin, judgement…and even hell….
I believe just like Rod Parsley stated last night on TBN that the reason GOD blesses us is to be a blessing…to help those in poverty…and I know he is a real man of GOD….because I went to Bible College there….we had to work 1 hour a week in ministry related work or we would be kicked out….no matter our grades…..and if you were caught drinking or had slept around….you were automatically thrown out….sounds kinda of strict….but it really isn’t because the reason you are there is to be trained up for ministry…..
I also find this whole divorce situation bad because now other believers have an excuse to get a divorce because “it did’nt work out for Paula and Randy….so maybe GOD will allow us to get a divorce also”……it is now a cop-out that others can use when the marriage gets tough…..
Well, Brian, unfortunately, the Whites have been through all of this before. Both of them. Randy’s daughter, the one with cancer, is in her late 20s or early 30s, as we understand it, and she is his child by his first wife. So it’s quite possible that his and Paula’s divorce doesn’t bother the sick daughter all that much.
No doubt this has affected Paula’s message. She used to preach about miracles and breakthroughs and how your marriage could be healed if you just had enough faith. Now she’s on TV spouting all the typical psychobabble.
It’s not that we’re judgmental…really…it’s just that we wish she’d have the common sense to know that now would be a really appropriate time to SHUT UP and LAY LOW for awhile. Quit speaking at conferences. Quit trying to sell her skills as a “life coach” (who needs that kind of coaching?)! Quit going on TV to hock her book. Quit calling herself a “minister of the Gospel.” In fact, quit drawing attention to herself at all.
But obviously, money (the need to keep it rolling in) is driving her constant media appearances. So sad.

To ultimately love Jesus is the absolut condition to graze the sheeps.
Peter knew that he will die for Jesus, He told him so.
Peter gave his live as did Stephan, Paul and so many matyrs because they loved the lord more than their life.

Who is a man/woman of God ?
You all seem to ignore what Jesus said. You label knowers of the bible men of god, call churchgoers christians and name the TV- audience the body of christ.

There will be MANY false teachers and prophets. The scripture does not say amongst all the good ones, does not even mention that there will be the true ones. False Christs will arise. Opposite to it will there be true Christs arising ???

Jesus will not reward you for being indifferent with Paula White and others or because you told everybody that they must not judge and touch the annointed.
Your reward comes from doing good not to the celebrities but the least of genuine brothers of Jesus.
You are tithing priests and giving donations to ministries, incorporated, but you do not show deeds of love to His brethren.

Have you ever found a single word in the gospel, Jesus pouring syruppy love above anybody, telling them how precious they are and how great and powerful in Him?
Telling anybody how much they deserve wealth and abundance in materials ? Or, how wonderful they were and how glad Jesus is that they came to him ?

I keep hearing “Touch not the Lord’s annointed” everytime I try to find out information on this woman’s ministry from members of her congregation.
I tell them God can annoint people for anything. All “annointed” means, is “set aside” or “selected”. Judas was also annointed to do a special work. he didn’t know it at the time, but he was chosen as one of the Twelve, so he could betray his Master. When he realized the role he had played, he went and hanged himself. So it is not just being “annointed”, folks; it is what you are annointed to do. Some preachers, pastors, evangelists, televangelists and self-styled apostles have been annointed as harvesters for the kingdom. They are now helping to separate the sheep from the goats by preaching false doctrines. The true sheep won’t follow them, but the greedy goats will. That’s why when the disciples asked Jesus if they should root up those tares, He instructed them to leave them alone until the time of the harvest. Why? Because they’re the winnowers. They have been chosen so that the true believers will have to hold fast to the truth, and not be caught up in their flood of lies.
So we do not have to touch the Lord’s annointed; they will, only too soon, realize what it is that they have been annointed to do!
This is the only site I’ve found via google that speculates (plausibly I think) about just who gave Paula White her “doctorate”…. There’s a yet to be uncovered side scandal at ORU – this time involving the ORU board of regents. As many as a dozen of the BoR’s have been given the fake doctorates. (including Dollar and Hinn who were just removed)
I’d be sincerely grateful if anybody can actually confirm, by year and institution, where “Dr.” Paula got her fake doctorate.
By the way, about the “touch not the annointed line,” next time you hear somebody trot that one out, remind them that precisely that sentiment was used for centuries to prevent any questioning of the “divine” Kings — the “anointed” ones. (to which you’ll probably get a glazed stare and a wondering question — so what’s wrong with Kings?)
Good comment Will. When someone pulls out the touch not my anointed line(Ps.105:15), as you have stated, it is a good sign of a candidate for a personality cult. If you look up the word “touch” in Strong’s concordance it means, smite, beat, strike, touch. This scripture is used by all the false prophets to keep people from testing the spirit they walk in.(1Jn4:1) I have not read where anyone has smacked Paula. I did read that someone had touched Juanita Bynum.
Its very sad that these people twist and use the doctrine to their own desires. The fact is that people need to pray for God to send them to a man and woman of God whose lifestyle reflects the love of God. People need to stop replacing God with substitutes and seek God then people would be delivered from the false prophets and the entertainers.
It wouldn’t surprise me to wake up one morning and find out that God has started cleaning house. Some of the terrible things these televangelist say is cause enough for God to to zap them on the spot. I am so sick of the Copelands, the Whites, the Bentleys and others who teach that Christians are little gods, that Jeus was not the only begotten son of the Father, that Jesus went to literal burning hell and if you don’t believe that you can’t be saved, that anyone could have died on the cross like Christ and that that is not enough for our salvation. These guys are interested in one thing and that is the green-back dollar bill. Its all about money to them and what is so amazing is the millions of spiritual fools out there that take it in line, hook and sinker. GOD NEEDS TO CLEAN HOUSE and I think He’s going to do it pretty soon!
Let me just start by clearly declaring that I do not believe everything that is preached by Paula White or any man for that matter…Let God be true and EVERY man a liar!
However, as a believer speaking to believers, allow me to exhort you, brothers and sisters, to uphold the ministry that “acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh” for it is “from God” (the completion of the verse quoted earlier regarding testing of spirits; 1Jn 4:21)
Even Elijah after slaying 450 prophets of Baal, the next day fled like a coward from one person! And we are all human, just like Elijah, capable of proclaiming Messiah with great strength before all the powers of hell and in the next breath fearing the strength of a single person.
The Lord is clear that we are to judge carefully and with great fear bring out the Law as a judge, because the imminant question is: Do you obey the commands yourself?
MERCY! Proclaim the Lord’s Mercy. Yes, call leaders in the faith entrusted with great responsibility to transparency and repentance, but this should be motivated by the Lord’s fervent desire that we all be restored to Him because of His unending love. We call them to repentance precisely because of the ministry given to them, not to mock their weakness. The sheep are wounded bc the Shepherd let in the wolves.
The Lord disciplines those He loves. Why would we make a spectacle of another believer who has stumbled? Why do you slay with your words? NO! Paula, cherished daughter of the MOST HIGH GOD whom we all humbly and with great thanksgiving call FATHER, fear not our chastisement. We long to bring you in under the wings of our Lord for healing that we may care for your broken spirit and then present you back to your calling cleansed and restored for God’s glory…then the earth will know that God lives and they will bow before Him and declare WORTHY! Because look how His children care for eachother.
